Why is the name LACOS unfamiliar to many people?
In the past, LACOS has mainly developed software for agricultural machinery manufacturers and has therefore not been visible to the public. Since 2024, LACOS has also been supplying hardware to agricultural machinery manufacturers and through the retail sector.
GNSS receiver
Can the LC:GNSS X-1 GNSS receiver also be used for automatic steering?
The LC:GNSS X-1 cannot be used for automatic steering with LACOS.
Can the LC:GNSS X-1 GNSS receiver be used with RTK?
Yes, the receiver is RTK-capable. To use RTK, you will need to activate the “RTK upgrade GNSS X-1” with article number 10500011.
Is an additional modem required to use RTK?
No, the modem is already integrated.
Does the LC:GNSS X-1 GNSS receiver use an IMU?
No, an IMU is not used.
ISOBUS terminal
What sizes are the LACOS terminals available in?
LACOS offers terminals in 7”, 10” and 12” sizes.
Do the terminals support ISOBUS functionality?
Yes, all terminals come with the ISOBUS UT licence as standard, and all standard functions can be activated individually by entering the relevant licence codes.
Can I connect a camera to the terminals?
An analogue camera can be connected to all LACOS terminals for process monitoring.
Steering system
Is the LC:GNSS X-5 receiver always enabled for RTK?
Yes, the receiver is always enabled for RTK as standard.
Is it possible to use a GNSS receiver from another manufacturer with the LACOS steering system?
No, the LACOS steering system only works with the LC:GNSS X-5 receiver. This receiver contains the actual steering controller.
Is an additional modem required to use RTK?
No, the modem is already integrated.
Does LACOS also offer a simple parallel guidance system?
Yes, LACOS offers a parallel guidance system in the form of the LC:FieldGuide. This system comprises the LC:TWO-mini and the LC:GNSS X-1, including the necessary software licences, cables and mounts. This system offers an affordable introduction to precision farming and the ISOBUS ecosystem.
